Mixosaur MIKS oh SORE PronuciationPronuciation
USGS geologist Hang Berg, on Gravina Island in southeastern Alaska, found vertebrae of a Mixosaur (a species of Ichthyosaur) in 1973. This sleek marine reptile swam in open seas, catching and eating fish.
