THER uh POD |
  |
| Oil-company geologists
discovered trackways of two different theropods
in 1975 near Black Lake on the Alaska Peninsula.
Theropods are generally slender, long-legged,
bipedal animals with blade-like teeth and curved,
sharp sickle-shaped claws. Also called the meat-eating
dinosaurs, their largest members include the tyrannosaurs. |
