Bring your class to the Museum for a fun, activity filled program designed specifically for 3-5 year olds!

Alaska’s 3 Bears

Preschoolers are invited to bring their Teddy Bears along for fun, experiential activities and games focusing on the three types of bears found in Alaska, bear adaptations, bear awareness, denning and more. The workshop concludes with a story and snack time* with the Museum’s bears.

Your Pet Dinosaur

Everyone loves T-Rex, but would your preschoolers like him as a pet? Preschoolers are welcome to bring their pet dinosaurs (we have some to borrow if they don’t have their own) to learn about the dinosaurs that lived in Alaska and what it would be like to care for them today. Activities include picking a dinosaur that is just the right size, knowing what dinosaurs like to eat, how to take care of dino eggs and more. The workshop concludes with a story and snack time* in the dinosaur area.

Have a Whale of a Time!

Can your preschoolers speak whale? In this fun workshop preschoolers will hear and try to copy the sounds whales make, compare whales to other marine animals, experiment with how whales stay warm, and step into an inflatable life size humpback whale! The workshop concludes with a story and snack time*.
